Update on Baldwin Park Lake Clean Up, April 17th 9-11am:
Stefan Smith, PR Committee Chair, announced that planning for the lake clean up is in full swing, with information being spread through the Baldwin Park Weekly Email and a letter he will be sending out this week. We are asking volunteers to RSVP to BaldwinParkRotary@gmail.com so that we know approximately how many people will be joining the event. The event begins at 9am and we'll have a welcome station located between the piers at Lake Baldwin. Volunteers will receive water, trash bags and a map. We encourage volunteers to wear clothes comfortable for an outdoor clean up. Volunteers are also encouraged to bring a snack so we can all have something light before we start the clean up. Special thanks to Elizabeth McCarthy (gloves, trash bags, O'Boys discount) & Frank Bartolomeo (trash pick up after event) for their volunteer efforts already. Stefan is looking for a few more volunteers for various jobs (working the welcome table, creating a flyer, etc) - if you are interested in helping please email him at ssmith@ibisfingroup.com. Thanks to our guest speaker tonight, Alice Lo. She introduced us to Permaculture, which is a movement with an extreme impact that we'll all be hearing more of the future.
